Sustainable Urbanism & Energy Policy
Eliot is a registered town planner and development specialist from Zimbabwe with experience in environmental justice, land-use planning, regional integration, and climate policy. His work spans the design and implementation of renewable energy strategies, sustainable urban development, and regional cooperation frameworks across Southern Africa.
Eliot holds a Master’s degree in Development Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Rural and Urban Planning. He is a member of the Zimbabwe Institute of Regional and Urban Planners. His research and advisory work focuses on renewable energy, climate change, and the role of urban and peri-urban agriculture in sustainable transitions.
During his recent fellowship, Eliot assessed energy development pathways between the European Union and the Southern African Development Community (SADC), with a focus on renewable energy policy integration and cooperation.
